SPECIALIST / EXEMPTION PATH
The checker reads your verdict. The Kit gets you through the exam: documentation packets for your condition, the two 45-day form clocks run as a calendar, the official medication form packet, waiting-period calendars, failure recovery, and the examiner phone script.

FMCSA's published advisory criteria state that a driver with an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator is not qualified, because of the risk of sudden incapacitation the device exists to guard against. FMCSA denied ICD exemption applications on this basis (2019). This is an advisory-criteria disqualification applied uniformly, not one examiner's opinion.
The published outcome is not qualified, and there is currently no working exemption door for an ICD. We print that plainly because a driver planning around a different answer would be planning on sand.
If your device situation changes — device removed, or a cardiologist documents that the underlying condition no longer requires it — the analysis changes with it, and current cardiology documentation is what an examiner would need. Watch this page's checked date: advisory criteria are the layer most likely to move.
This question is decided by the federal text itself. The verdict above is computed from the cited words — your examiner is bound by the same text.
Only a certified medical examiner on the National Registry can certify you. FreightVerdict reads the published federal standards — it does not certify, diagnose, or treat, and nothing here is medical advice.
