EXAMINER'S CALL
The checker reads your verdict. The Kit gets you through the exam: documentation packets for your condition, the two 45-day form clocks run as a calendar, the official medication form packet, waiting-period calendars, failure recovery, and the examiner phone script.
Federal source: 49 CFR 391.41(b)(7), (b)(9) (functional standards) · Rules checked October 2026
For the long tail of named conditions — cancer in treatment or remission, thyroid disorders, chronic pain conditions, liver disease — the federal standards publish no condition-specific rules at all. The functional clauses govern: is the condition, or its treatment, likely to interfere with safe operation? Examiners judge stability, treatment phase, side effects, and specialist input, case by case.
Absence of a rule is not absence of an exam — it means your specialist's documentation carries the weight a rule would otherwise carry. Active treatment phases and stable remission are different cases and are read as such.
Bring a treating-specialist letter that uses functional language: what the condition does and does not limit, treatment schedule, side effects relevant to alertness and stamina, and stability interval.
This question is NOT decided by federal text — the text leaves it to the examiner's judgment. Any site that prints you a pass or a fail here is inventing law. What moves this outcome is documentation, and that is what this page gives you.
Only a certified medical examiner on the National Registry can certify you. FreightVerdict reads the published federal standards — it does not certify, diagnose, or treat, and nothing here is medical advice.
